Praying for you guys down there, hope it isn't to bad for you. Be careful.

She is on the way, I live in eastern NC about 100 miles from where some show her making landfall.

Took off work early today to prepare. Little more prep tomorrow after work and I am ready as I can be.

For me and many of my friends it will be sleeping at the fire station so we can respond when needed. We have paid staff but the volunteers like myself make up 90% of the department.

It is wait and see, I'll post some pics as it develops.

Be safe and if you can, lend a helping hand to those in need.

My 3 year old studies scripture each day at her daycare, here is my favorite from Ella's bible!

Tender hearted one to another, John 4. No idea where that came from except she told be to be nice to everybody.

Little over 48 hours before we should be seeing some effects.

So now landfall in Wilmington area then turns toward SC, not good for them.

Model on Monday had Raleigh, NC in the direct path after landfall does not seem to be the case now. If that path would have been correct it would have passed right over us.

New path much better for us but not you all in SC.

My friend I bought the BX from lives in Charleston, SC. As of this morning, he was still home. Hopefully, he gets out of there before it gets too bad to flee.

So it is 2:30 am here in NC, wind is picking up and rain set in.

Hunkered down at the FD playing rook and table tennis waiting for the calls to begin.

I'm betting first call is a tree down in the road way.

Going to get a short nap as it has been quiet so far. Lot of food some good games of Rook and undefeated at table tennis so far tonight.

Few hours of sleep then some strong coffee and breakfast then wait and see what's in store for us today.

Betting long day of cutting tress and some downed power lines.
