You are making the comparison in a way that was not intended. But hey. It's someone else's tire.

We need a "Show your tires with 900 hours on them" thread.

I'm not worried about 4WD use as a major factor in tire life. I use 4WD because it is needed! The wear and tire replacement cost is just part of operation. I never think to myself, "Gee, I better take it out of 4WD or my tires won't last 900 hours.

nb. The tractor I use most has a locking differential in the front axle. That will cause some wear if left engaged on hard surfaces ;-)

Certainly not been a problem for me. My old B7200DT is never out of 4WD and has a couple thousand hours on the 20+ year old tires. The rears are well worn but still serviceable.

Tire wear is sure more with machines running a lot on pavement. My L3250's rubber is still good - but the L345 had a more paved past life and tires are pretty worn. Both have 2500+ hrs.

19th SF - does your B2650 have the Bi-Speed option? From the WSM it doesn't affect any other gearing, only kicks in at high steering angle - so shouldn't be a factor here.

I haven't been able to verify the front-to-back axle ratio Kubota gave you, using parts lists and the WSM. I did notice B2650's have had 2 or 3 revisions of the final rear drive pinions (no tooth counts given). I must be doing something wrong but I can't find it.
No, no bi-speed option, and I do not believe that it is built in standard.

Found what I was doing wrong - I had a wrong tooth count in there - the ratio they gave you is right. And you're right bi-speed isn't built in standard .

Don't forget that leaving it in 4WD all the time adds stress to universal joints, differentials and transfer cases. I only use it when necessary.

Thank you for your very knowledgeable feedback. I guess we can agree that the Kubota jargon for front to back axle ratio is "gear ratio".
I am also retired.............................................from a paying job that is, and there is still not enough time to do everything that I would like to. Or...........................maybe I just don't hit projects "as hard" as I used to!
