Hi All Picked up a B2301 TLB with 18 hrs on it.
Was using it today for about 4 hours constantly with no issues. then while moving a load of spoil with the bucket, In low range, pressed on the forward pedal and the engine shut down, took my foot off the pedal and the engine came back to life..... Sat there at Hi Idle (HST) and it was fine, pressed on the forward pedal and the engine cut out again, foot off the pedal, running again.

Idling fine, stepped on reverse, same thing engine died, foot off the pedal, engine came back to life, like the pedal was pulling a wire out of connection, back to neutral, wire connects... Any idea what this was?
Shifted to "M" range all is fine (for now)..
I'm baffled...
Thanks in advance
Ron

It sure sounds like it was running at too low rpms. Low range still needs rpms to handle pushing and even a heavy loaded bucket especially if backing up a slope. Now if you shifted to Mid Range and did not increase rpms and it handled the same load without rpms dropping it is something else.

Probly the seat safety switch. If yer not on the seat all the way or leaning it’s enough to open the switch and cause what you’re describing. Most of us just bypass it.

Just a thought. You're not raising up off the seat a little causing it to cut off are you?

Workshop manuals are not available on line for your tractor so a diagnosis is a bt of a guess.

Most tractors today have an Operator Presence Controller aka OPC.

Think of it as a computer whose job it is to keep you safe.

The OPC receives signals from a number of safety switches and then decides if the engine can start, can the engine continue to run if you get off the seat, is the parking brake on, is the pto engaged.....is the seat in a position to use a backhoe, etc etc

If you do not have an Owner's Manual, go to the Kubota site in the Country where you live. Find the place where Operator's manuals are available and look for the ones for B01 series machines.

You need to fully understand the safety features your machine has to then figure out what is causing this issue.

If the machine is under warranty, then the dealer is your solution.
