I got an old PTO sprayer that used to be mounted on the back of a Cushman. The plan is to mount it to the 3pt. I've started cutting it up to turn its orientation 90 degrees so that the tank will go across the width of the tractor rather than sticking out the back length ways. The main concern at the moment is that, because of the height of the tractor PTO, the top of the pump will be at least 1/3 of the way up the tank.
This is not a problem if the pump can produce suction. It shouldn't be a problem with a full tank but it may be an issue if I am spraying less than 1/3 of a tank
The pump is a Hardi 1202/9

Maybe I should have said, it sucks but needs to be primed to suck. It won't suck dry but then most pumps won't. They need the pumped fluid to seal themselves and produce a vacuum.
