Hello helpful people!
I have an issue and wanted to know if anyone has seen it before and/or know the next best move.
I am a marine mechanic by trade but mainly work on outboard motors and not so much diesel tractors!
I have been helping my neighbour with his b8200 with the D950 engine(I have the b7200 and did the clutch in the spring) and he has had a no start for a few months now.
Anyway after messing around with a bunch of different things, including cleaning his injectors in my ultrasonic and some other maintenance issues we have fuel absolutley pissing out of the crankcase. I even drained all the "oil" and left it empty and when we even just crank for 2 seconds fuel comes out by the starter and bellhousing.
Question, i don't belive this is from from the injectors being stuck open. I'm assuming this is an injection pump issue which I believed to be the problem before we started. Does this pump have a seal which could be blown which would leech fuel into the crank? Is it replaceable or is it new pump time? Is this something I could do or is time to call a specialist injection pump rebiuld shop maybe?
Any advice greatly appreciated and any questions I can answer to help the process I will do my best to give as much info as possible!
