Hello! So I have the BX1880 with FEL and mower deck (bought 2023), and have the WB10 ballast box on back it makes my usage of the tractor SO stable around our bumpy, rolling hill 5-acres. Now that my old 1994 tractor finally died I need to use this wonderful setup to mow our property.
Is there ANY way that I can force/lock the ballast box to remain up when using the hydraulics to lower the mower deck? I tried using things with the ballast box removed and it is so unsafe on bumpy, slightly sloped terrain, and just driving the tractor the wheels in back want to bounce off contact to ground. Yes, I use 4WD or else I'd lose contnrol of tractor going downhill.
So wanting to keep weight box on all the time, how can I mow? They both run on the same system so ballast box goes down most of the way when lowering mower deck. If land is 100% flat great it still works, but any uneven ground and it will drag, scrap, or even trench a mess if you start going up a hill the back goes to the earth quickly.
I can't see a way to lock that back 3pt hitch with ballast box up. And I am not going to remove the FEL just to mow for an hour every week in our fields
Thank you for any helpful insight from anyone who has this issue too!! Alan
