Howdy again.,
I have read a bunch or two notes about Bx25 front tires going flat usually it sounds like just one goes but I,m lucky enough to have both of mine go .One went not too long after I got the orange and then recently just before its 50th hour service.
Both had the same issue the the air leaked out inside and outside rims .Now my son is a service truck driver for a large tire company here in Alberta and he warned me when I got the tractor to check the pressures on a regular basis because he says that these smaller tires that handle quite a bit of load like tractors ,forklifts, tuggers etc have very stiff tire walls which in turn don't always seal to the rims as well as softer rubber would so then if the pressure does get a little low and you happen to have next doors dairy cow jammed on the front loader forks then you end up with flat tires and a animal cruelty official on the doorstep !..
So I had been good and checked the pressures weekly or so..
When I was at the dealership a few days after the second went I mentioned the flats to the Kubota guy he asked how old it was what tires were on etc he said he would get back to me the next day ,so sure enough he emailed the next day and asked for the date stamp on the tire wall ,which I did.
Next email came in and I have to take both wheels and tires into the store and he will replace them with brand new assembly's .
So I will try to find out more when I take them in but it sounds like they have had a dodgy batch of tires but I ,m not sure why they want the wheels back again I will try to find out more .
Well I,m off now to hide from the dairy cow protection agency or the DCPA for short oh and the neighbour I guess.
Cheers
Neil...........

Re: From above the border /2

Green tractors having same issue, no warranty though.
I never saw a tire crack and leak everywhere in less than a year old.
Tubed em both.

Just tube the new ones. Best thing I ever did.

Kubota did have some issue with that particular tire. I do not know whether it was isolated to a particular tire mold date, or what. They replaced a bunch of them; with warranty. Some of the new ones that replaced a customer's old leaky ones leaked as well. I recommended putting tubes into them. This solves the problem once and for all.

I have a 2013 and have noticed over the last two years a small leaks in them. Have not placed tubes in them - the air compressor is too close by!;) But it does seem to be a small problem that does have an easy fix!

This has been an ongoing problem, had it on my 2008 BX2660 and while it is not covered under the tractor warranty, my dealer gave me new tires/wheels until I got ones that held air.

I initially put tubes in, but I prefer tubeless, so my salesman made sure to set things right.

As to needing the tires and rims, you can get tire/rim combination cheaper through "whole goods" than separately through the parts department.

EEK.

Slime has been reported as rusting rims on tubeless tires. Plus, getting your tubeless tires replaced with slime makes you very unpopular with the tire guys. :)

I had a tire go down on my L3800 and I walked the tire off the rim. In the process I nicked the soft sidewall joint area. My tire would leak down in about 60 days. I found that if I over-pressured it by 5 psi, it would stay up twice as long. That might not work with the smaller "tars" though.

Slime won't fix rim leaks. Unless the entire tire is filled, which would be, what? 20 tubes of slime?

Yes, the tire/rim assembly is a LOT cheaper through wholegoods. Forget the part number but it was less than half price as opposed to 2 new tires alone from parts department.
