I have a 2015 Bx25, With Backhoe and Loader. 108 Hours.
I just bought it and i am concerned that i can't Curl the Bucket, Rake the arm in and boom UP at the same time on the BH.
I sent it to the dealer and he says there is nothing wrong with it.
He says When he runs it at top RPMS (Full out) everything works together. (i couldn't get it to work at 3500RPM)
Do i really have to run full out to operate the BH properly?
When i try to boom up while digging nothing happens unless i let go of the other two functions.:(

While I thinking 3500 is a bit high:eek:, I do understand your problem. The valves and flow control are not the best in the entire hydraulic world. They do get the job done. Trying to do 3 things at once is tough, ease up on one direction a bit and you will find the controls will work better. Even 50/50 is not right, sometimes yout need to feather the controls just right to be smooth.

It's been a while since I used a BX25 but I do not remember having to use only 2 functions at a time on the hoe. I might be wrong. There are so many of those tractors out there I imagine there will be lots of people that can weigh in with their experience as well.

For kicks, here is a time lapse I made of the first time I rented a BX25 from Home Depot here in Oklahoma City.

I really like the time lapse videos, always makes work look like fun. Did a few for my garage renovation.

These small backhoes are handy, but by no means an excavator. So performing 3 functions at once is fine if you are digging air.
Running machine at WOT is a waste of fuel and frankly it stresses me out,on machine or as a bystander.

For stumping i highly reccomend a ripper tooth, will do way more damage to roots than a bucket. Problem i had was switching back and forth to bucket. Having a selection of tools for the end of the stick makes for a versatile machine.

The rpm rating for the bx is 3200.
The manual states to for backhoe use from 75% to full , 2400-3200.
There is only so much pressure/flow and I can not operate more than two.

I found that when using the dipper stick/ bucket (right stick) that the boom/swing lift on arm will not move much (left stick).

It is also slow when you try to operate both outrigger arms.
I have to plant one at a time.

From my experience just about anything you do with the BX requires a lot of RPM for it to work properly. I needed to change the control pattern on mine (and love it)

I also don't have any issues with it, perhaps it's the way I use it vs the OPs? I will say it definitely is not an excavator. Maybe an video with a real time explanation while operating would help?

Video - well done, and I watched a professional operator that would switch from a trackhoe to a JD loader and watch him struggle for a bit as we were digging footers.
It is a shame that there is not a "switch" that could be implemented that would allow it to go from one standard to the other. I am not sure I could run a trackhoe now, my head/hands would be all screwed up!:D

Some machines have a lever that is flipped to switch from iso to sae. My buddys cat excavator has one under the seat.

I know of only one person that prefers deere controls. Its what he learned on 30 years ago.

It is designed to run 3500-3600 RPM all the time, just like a lawn mower engine. Actually that's what it is (check out the ZD series...same engines). It runs cooler and makes power at full RPM. And the little baby hydraulic pump is designed to work the best at full speed. That said, it's still a little baby tractor, so don't expect it to do the same functions that a JD 330LC would do. It'll get the job done-eventually-just don't get in a hurry. Running the engine at, say, 1500 RPM is quieter and by our conventional wisdom, should generate less wear and tear....but remember the fans turn slower and the hydraulic pump turns slower, the engine doesn't make as much power, and everything runs slow and hotter.

Thanks for all the great advise. I get her back tomorrow, so i will see how it is. I think the dealer turned it up a bit to give more power.
