Hey Everyone,

I just got my BX25 - what is crazy is I didn't even know this forum existed ... I was reading other tractor forums - hehehe. Anyways, glad to be here.

Sooo ... I am looking to get rear mount finishing mower - and a farmer near me has his Wood RM59 for sale for a price I can't pass up. It hasn't been used in a couple of years and looks to be in REALLY good condition.

My question is, will my BX25 handle it? I have read good things about the RM59 ... but I just want to make sure my BX25 will handle it.

Thanks in Advance.

You should be just fine with it behind a BX25. Maybe to put your mind at easy ask the near by farmer if you can try it out somewhere on his property behind your Kubota and see how it handles and feels. I doubt he'll have a problem with that.

Eric has a good suggestion- try it on first. I have a RM59- it is a top notch mower- which I use behind my B7100. You have more hp than I do, so the 25 will definitely power it. You should try it and see how light it makes your tractor in the front- it is a pretty heavy mower.

Be weary if he tells you it takes 5 hours of mowing to get a true feel of how the mower handles.
He may be squeezing you for free labor!

Id be all over it if he allowed me 5 hours of play time. Then you can truely understand how the mower runs and will handle behind the tractor, and also see if he made any sort of quick fixes to hide something that might be broke. Like if he did a rush patch job to sell it knowing it would break later down the line not in his ownership.
