In order to add a grapple fork to an existing la344 fel, what do i need? 3rd function kit and the grapple unit? Does it function ok with the hydralic flow rate? If not, what is the next best technique in grabbing tree logs etc efficiently? Thank you.

Depending on what you have on the loader frame in the way of a QD set up,
Adding a 3rd function and grapple set up, you will be in business. When I bought mine, I contacted my local dealer. They had the parts in stock, offered it to me $100. Off and free installation.
I use the grapple more than any other implement I have. I haul logs from the log yard to the wood shed, and set them on the sawbuck. It saves a ton of time, and your back.

There are at least 2 types of '3rd function' setups.
1) is a switch on the joystick to swap hydraulics from one function to the 3rd, so you get 'A" or 'B' function NOT both at the same time...
2) simple additon of a 3rd spool valve and hoses. this allows all 3 functions to be used at any time.

Pretty sure there's a 'two rear remotes' kit for your BX2380, others will know. I looked at it last year to allow 'option #2', to me the better option. The levers go in the 'hole' behinf the joystick.

As for which is best for you, do more research and decide HOW you'd operate the grapple. Whatever option, after a couple hundred hours, it'll be second nature and muscle memory will do all the thinking.
