I work with a BX2200 Kabota belly tractor and this will be my first winter on the job. Would like to know if there are any suggestions for winter storage and winterizing of tractor?
Thanks for your thoughts. I appreciate it. I'd love to leave my B7800 in the garage, but then I'd be scraping ice off the car every day. The Kubota is going into cold storage. I'll miss it.I just leave my tractors whereever they happen to be. For the BX, that's in the garage - nothing special, battery left as is, nothing added or taken away. If I did not have a garage, I'd make sure I didn't park above soil or grass with the mower attached due to rust hazard. My L3010 and M9000 tractor stay where they were when I shut them off - on the field or whatever.
I have an even better suggestion: get a blower and use the BX in the winter!
What a great idea! Thanks. I've also been wrapping the air filter with plastic and stuffing the exhaust pipe on my lawn tractor to keep mice from making homes in them. Seems like good advice too.Put dryer sheets under the hood, it is supposed to keep mice away.
You don't want those little buggers chewing up your wires.
