My BX22 with 300 hrs. on it just stopped while I was running it. It will start and run only if the key is held in the start position. I've seen this posted here, and I'm trying to locate the relays. They must be well hidden.

Check fuses and then more likely the stop solenoid is either bad or not getting the proper input.
Its got a twin coil solenoid, when the hold coil goes out it will act like what you are describing, a simple input test on the wiring to the solenoid will tell ya if it's got power or not.
Yup, ya gotta check to see if u have voltage{12v} at the Red wire after u let go of the key switch.. Black is ground, Red is Run{hold}.. White is start..{pull-in}
