STEPHENB - Tell us more about that plastic barrel ballast gizmo. I like it!

Small metal barrel a friend gave me so I put a rod through the bottom and a couple eye bolts in the top. filled with scrap metal and cement...instant ballast barrel that weighs roughly 300lbs. (cost = nothing )
Not filled to the top so there is room for a chain or what ever I might need

Cool. Makes me feel better. I also ordered a piranha tooth bar and straight bar. Tooth bar for tearing up some brush and saplings (instead of a brush hog) and the straight bar for helping the snow removal, grading dirt and protecting the bucket.

Bought my 1880 yesterday - to be ready next week. Had same kind of back-and-forth as you! Gonna get that piranha bar fast too, as I'll have some clearing & digging to do.
