After doing search I'm thinking its most likely the ignition switch, since I can literally turn the key to off and pull the key out and the motor will not shut down. However it does seem to shutdown after a few minutes. Could this indicate something else?

Also at least one thread I read said that if I push the fuel shut off solenoid I can get the motor to turn off. What exactly am I pushing on the solenoid to do this?

I won't be able to get a switch till tomm, but need the tractor to unload the tiller I have coming today.

Thanks for the help in advance

I would check the OPC systems. If the OPC shuts down your tractor, the ignition switch is probably the problem. If the OPC doesn't stop the engine then it may be the solenoid.

Replaced both the fuel shut off solenoid and ignition switch but it still does not shut off...The OPC does not work, but it actually hasn't since I got it I do not think...Approx 2-3 weeks...I'm assuming maybe fuel shut off is not getting a signal but not sure where to start for that.

In the WSM for BXxx60s the electrical Troubleshooting section lists two reasons for the engine not stopping when the key is turned off:
1. A 15 amp fuse is blown
2. The wiring harness is disconnected or improperly connected between the ignition switch and the solenoid

I have a BX2370 and my wiring is almost identical to the BXxx60s but I have no idea about a BX1500. The fuses and wiring should be a good place to look next.

Sorry was tired after spending fixing it, seems it was the actual wire to the solenoid, it was worn through. It looks like it came out of the protector so it must've rubbed on something.
