After receiving a BX model of unknown age and hours on the motor. I completed a complete fluid change on the machine. Replaced the fuel filters and air filters.

I used the correct filters and fluids for the model.
I was about to drive the tractor and engage the belly motor for about 30 minutes.
Then the tractor stopped. The engine still ran yet I wasn't about to have it engaged the drive cycle.
After a bit the tractor would go in reverse and then forward. In slow jerky movements.
After, I was about to park it at my garage the tractor will not engage in drive or reverse.

Any ideas on the problem?

I'd say check your fluid level first. Don't assume it's okay.

Also check your filter. It might be that you did a dumb (like we all do from time to time), and forgot to take the plastic off of the top of the filter.

Other than that, did you clean the screen? Might want to check that.

I will check the filter. I did clean the screen.
The screen and the fluid I remove did have metal flakes.
I did recheck the screen after the tractor started developing the issue. And it was clean of debris.

You really need to give more info than BX, there is about 50 some odd models and no they are not all the same drive system!

It's like saying I have a Chevy compact car how do I fix it.

Metallic content found during the fluid replacement is somewhat disconcerting.

It isn't uncommon, especially if the tractor had never been serviced before.
