Has anybody else seen this problem? The side pulleys on the new BX 1860/2360/2660/25 midmount mowers come loose and destroy themselves. The four small bolts- size 13mm head- should be checked to be sure they are tight. I have seen a couple of these come loose and you end up having to replace the pulley. Not a big job, but def. a pain to someone who has less than 50 hours on there brand new tractor.

We have seen this problem, not a lot of them mind you but enough that I started checking them on PDI. I haven't found any loose ones though!

A little locktight wouldn't hurt but I think it's more a case of a few got through the factory without being properly tightened.

I have found my Kubota L3400 bolts loose in different places.
So now I check EVERY new piece of equipment that rolls on to the property.

Cking for loose bolts on everything you can get a wrench on should be at the minemum a once a year thing. A fighter plane in the Air Force is every single time it flies!!!

A good question about gear box oil, I use Redline Super Shock in the Harley tranny would that work in the mower gear box too?

I had this same problem; so how difficult is it to change the pulley? The vibration from the loose bolts causes the holes in the pulley to get too big.

Anyone know the difficulty in replacing these pulleys? I have the same problem on a 60" MMM. Also, does anyone know the part # and $?
