So...I've managed to bend the balance assembly in my mower deck somehow. I don't recall banging into anything recently but I must have at some point. I noticed my lawn cut was stepped...and my mower has been flawless since I bought is just about six years ago...never needed adjustment.
So imagine my surprise when I needed to adjust a significant amount to get back to level. I figured something was bent...but didn't have time to disassemble and investigate. So I adjusted and mowed.
Today I decided the tractor needed a deep cleaning and wax to help keep her easy to rinse. So I took the deck off and cleaned ..and I found the culprit. Has anyone ever bent theirs? How difficult was to bend back? Use heat? I tried to get an idea with a giant adjustable wrench and it is t going to budge. Replacement cost is $360. Ideas or comfort or both appreciated
