After walking thru the property, I found an area I could build a road and put in 3 shooting boxes, from 50 feet to 100 yards, and I only had to remove 19 trees.
Found a local construction company that is giving away all the 8"x8" PT posts you can haul. They will load you up with a forklift. So I loaded my flatbed and truck!
Thank goodness for the Grapple. These are like railroad Ties, but a little shorter ( K rail posts from Highway guard rails) and there pretty heavy to stack by hand. I could Grapple 4 at a time and haul to each location, pick them up one at a time using the Grapple like fingers, stack them and use ledger screws to hold them together. Switched the Grapple for the bucket,( thank goodness for the Piranha as the ground is rock hard this time of year) and added a huge mound of dirt to use as bullet stops. Hung a few AR Steel gongs at the locations. Got to play with the new Gemtec. This will be worth the work

Looks like I'm shooting up hill, darn phone pics.

you guys have big boxes!

i made a small one outside the shop.. 5 railroad ties high with about 6' deep dirt behind it..

then in front a smaller treated wood target box area with 3" of sand between the outer layer & the ties.

but ive only got 25 yrds distance to it... still stops a 50BMG with no problem!

I didn't want to have to rebuild it once it was up. It's nice to walk out and ring Steel ( safely) anytime I want. I can also sight in any hunting handguns at 100 yards for where ever I go
