When you add a hydraulic option to the front-end such as a front-end-loader on this unit you need to turn off the "bypass". The picture shown here has a rusted "end" that is broken off where a knob used to be (near the center of the picture with a screw-driver slot ground into it). This does not screw in or out, it just turns either direction infinitely. Originally there was a knob attached and the two stops would prevent it from going further, but evidently someone broke the knob off. So, if your forward hydraulic attached bucket is not raising or lowering, try turning this 90 degrees counter-clock-wise (or some amount thereto). If you go 360 degrees and it doesn't help, then the problem is elsewhere. I got my tractor back from kubota to do work elsewhere on the tractor and they had turned this and the loader wouldn't operate unless I was turning the front wheels (which directed more hydraulic pressure into the forward hydraulic accessory block).
