B7100 TSC Suspension Seat

For those that I have replaced their factory B7100 seat with the Tractor Supply suspension seat, how high does yours sit? I took the factory flip and rear spring bracket off to get it lower and have it on the the 3" or so factory bracket. To put it lower, I would have to build a spacer for the rear since the hydraulics on the front of where it would mount is higher so it wouldn't sit even.

I bought the same seat.....hated it at first, reason? It sat way too high!!!!!
After redrilling a few holes, I finally lowered it by clamping it down at the lowest level that it could go. I find it very useful now, still a wee bit high, but not to bad. The shock inside is a nice addition too.

Thanks for the response, I got it because I read quite a few favorable reviews of it and I didn't see anything about it being too high. Do you mean that you modified the base, or modified the seat by "clamping it down at the lowest level." I might be interested in doing the same thing if you have further information or pictures.

I have several places that I need to "lean" to one side or another to cut a patch of grass......so the old seat would allow that, this one was about 10" higher and made the ol pucker factor go off !!!!

At 220 - it provided a lot of hop and bounce, which is a good thing, but to bounce, it went down and back up. Even when adjusted it moved good.

IF you look under the front side - there is a place to loop a 1/4" piece of wire and then tie it off, I had to place about 250lbs of block(concrete step stones) to lower it to hold where I needed it to be.

I will upload some pics tomorrow ifn I can!

I would really like to see how you installed the seat. I was in TSC just before leaving on vacation. I almost bought one. Decided to wait until I get back home next week. So some pictures and a detailed explanation of your compressing the seat trick would be greatly appreciated.

seat sits way up there too!!!!

I like the seat height of the old seat, so I placed a many of 40# concrete stepping stones on it and then ran a small piece of cable through holes and locked it down - then placed a shackle between to keep it taught. There is NO up-down movement, but that is ok too!

My idea is different and depending on how much movement I want, it is adjustable. There is room for about a 2 inch wide u-bolt that can be anywhere from 2 - 4 inches in length. It would attach where the seat has the bumpers and rests on the frame when it bottoms out. There is a perfect hole/gap in the frame that will allow it. I was planning on doing it today, will probably get to it tomorrow.
