B2650 questions

I never really introduced myself. I have been watching this group for awhile but just recently became a member. There is so much useful information that it can be overwhelming.
I have a bx2200 w/ front snowblower and cab & B7610 w/loader,mmm, 53" box scraper & post hole digger.

My question is for anyone with the B2650. Got a quote with 60" bucket, MMM and third valve for $23,150 if I want quick hitch add $400. How does this sound to you. My dealer can not really answer what the "light" bucket is weighted for. I move around a lot of dirt will be moving @100 yrds of gravel. Pull stumps with it. Should I get the 54" or maybe both?

I have a 2650 and I got mine about the same price. If you go to Kubota.com you can build and price with options. I got mine a little less than that. There is another guy on here that recently got tractor and loader somewhere around 19 which is a killer deal if that is a real number.
My dealer sold me a 54 and it's plenty for my tractor. If you're moving gravel you won't benefit much for going with the 60. If you look at either bucket they are built about the same only a small difference in width. There are times when a bucket of dirt or sand is plenty to load down the tractor. It will lift it, but your rear tires will get light. You will definitely need rear ballast to move rock. I would recommend more than simply filling the tires and having something hanging off the back. I don't have filled tires but do most loader work with my roughly 350 lb 48" box scraper back there. Even then with only dirt, you'll need 4wd to move because your rear will get very light. Consider getting a ballast box or a good heavy box scraper. If I was doing regular loader work I'd be adding extra steel/sacks of concrete on the top of my box scraper.

I would say for all the implements you listed that is a pretty good price. MMM is probably 1500 bucks and I just paid $1K to have the 3rd function valve installed. Check out everything attachments for their 50" root grapple. Not the cheapest out there but it weighs close to the weight of the bucket. It's what I bought and I'll be breaking it in this weekend. Just keep in mind if you order from them you'll need longer hoses. If you go that way PM me and I'll send you more details.

thanks for the info. I called a couple other dealers and one quoted me 21,800. Salesmen called and left a message right at closing so will not talk to him till Monday. I hope they will do it for that, seems like a real good price.

Let me know how that grapple works. Landpride does not have one for our tractor that will fit well but upon talking with them they said they are in the works that should come out around the first of the year.

I think I will go with the 54" bucket so I can keep it small. I have a landpride scraper like yours think it runs 380-425# will have to play around to see how it handles

Can't speak to what the "light material" bucket is rated for, but obviously gravel is not a light material. I'd stick with the 54" bucket, personally.

I don't think you'll be disappointed in the 54" bucket. If you're comfortable with filled rear tires, may not be a bad thing to do. I'm still looking for ways to weigh her down.

As you probably know but I didn't really think about it too much, weight hanging off the back is your friend because it unloads the front axle, then when you load up that bucket, you're not quite carrying as much with the front axle.

I have a b2650 with 54 inch bucket. I'm glad I got the 54 because it gets in tight places really good. I got the 60 mmm filled tires and land pride rcr1260 and 3rd function valve and rear work light and filled rear tires for 21600. I think they sold it to me at a great price. I purchased from beshears kubota in Oxford Alabama. The manual says the quick hitch isn't available with the 60ba mowing deck. Filled tires is a big plus with loader work. I dug out a small area for a water garden pond for the wife and was extremely impressed with what this little tractor is capable of. I had half full bucket of dirt and it did great with just the filled rear tires. If I was doing full bucket work I would have something hanging off the back. The 60 mmm is 2500. I also got 0 percent for 72 months on the b series. 3000 down and only 260 month.

I'm the guy that got my b2650 for 19 something. With taxes, insurance, and all those little other variables on the signing paper I'm not sure are, I put 2000 down and pay 300 a month. Comes out to 20000 even pretty much. But I didn't get mmm. I got fel with 54 bucket and nose guard, loaded r4 tires, full tank and delivery. I called around a few places. I went with closest. Love this thing. Not sure if I got good deal or not, but I know for 300 a month I can't pay someone to do what she does for me.

The place I called is called Value Implement. They have a few locations and that is where I got that 21,800. Well the closer one called today and said since they are all the same dealers that they will do the same deal. He did not seem to happy but I guess trying to rip us off and not getting away with hurts their feelings.

I will be going there the next day or so to get it ordered

I was quoted 18,400 + tax and insurance 0 for 60 from my local dealer, Barlows Equipment in Kentucky quoted me 17,600 no tax, insurance and 1k for delivery. I ended up doing some horse trading and such, but those are the numbers I got for financing with no trades.

Ordered mine last night. $21,800 for 2650 w/ loader w/ quick disconnect, 60" MMM and loader & third valve.
I believe it was a decent price for my area, delivery included. Shop is 13 min away.

I just need to order a grapple and service manual.

Thanks everyone for your comments and input. I will send some pics once I get it. Need to do some work like take off my Grammer suspension seat on my 7610 and put it on the 2650, install light bar.

Need to learn it so my wife is able to use it as looking to have back surgery in November. So I will not have a lot of time to play.

Spent 5 hours on this today clearing a big section of our 30 acres. This is my first front loader and I can't believe the difference this makes. Beats the hell out of my '51 Ferguson TO-30. The 2650 is everything I'd hoped for.

I spent nearly 3 months comparing and searching for tractors and found the best dealer I've ever worked with.

I had a same situation with my 53 Ford Jubilee - it is amazing what a FEL can do!!!

If you have any money left - get a tooth bar and or some wheel shims, both are well worth the money in safety and ease of work.

Picked it up from our local Case/Kubota dealer. It was kinda a once in a lifetime deal. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time when they still had one sitting on their lot.

Kubota dealers really wanted to clear their lots of aged 2014's last week since their annual show/meeting was in Nashville this week.

In my search, I found that the b2650 has a larger engine than the b2620. In fact it's the d1305 which is the same as the b2920. Anyone know why this is rated at 26 vs the 29-30 that Kubotas spec sheet has on the D1305 engine?

I'm assuming the lower hp rating is due to the emissions control equipment, but am much happier with the larger tractor and so far haven't been close to needing more HP. Of course I'm not doing much ag work. We only have a two acre garden and 3 acre orchard being prepared for 2015.

I picked up a Piranha tooth bar and it is absolutely AWESOME. easy to install or remove, and its digging perfection. well worth purchasing. wheel spacers will also make a noticeable difference, especially on sidehills
