I have a BX1860. Is there a backhoe attachment available? I use my loader for snow removal. Would a front blade be better?

Yeah you could find one of the many aftermarket backhoes for it. Front Balde versus bucket really depends on which suits your needs better.

cindi,,, on the BX as I understand it, there is a complete undercarriage for the back hoe, that has to be installed at the factory for the BH, I have looked in to it and have been told its not availed to put on the a standard BX. There's some, for the 3 point but I have never seen on working so I don't know how well they work. So if I understand you, you do have the FEL, and they can be attached to most any BX. I use a 60 inch push blade on my BX for snow but then I have pushed snow with a blade for more years than I care to think about, though a bucket in float works well and you can put the snow away from where your working much easier.
Oh and welcome and pictures we love pictures :D

I have one of these, the smallest of the BX. I'd doubt that there then is room for a back-hoe framework underneath and still use it for a belly mower.. For snow plowing I have a rear blade that works much better than the loader for most work. It is a 5 foot King Kutter obtained at a local farm store. I also use the Harbor Freight quick Hitch back there to speed attaching or unhooking. Chains are on the rear and kept tight because the fuel tank is right above the chains.

I don't know personally, but, if you go to Kubota.com and "build your tractor", there are 3 mid mount decks listed as options for the BX25D. So it would seem like a mower would fit a BX with a backhoe and loader, unless something changed between the BX**60 and BX**70 series.

However, a backhoe is not listed as an option for the base BX. So it might all be a moot point. As stated above, backhoe subframe is available only when factory installed?

Or, educate me, aren't the tractors basically the same between the base BX and the BX with backhoe?

All I can tell you is what the dealer told me,, I wanted a BH after I got my BX,, he said that you cannot adapt an existing BX with the sub frame because its designed and installed at the factory for a tractor equipped with a BH, the larger B according to him have all the undercarriage frame work built in so you can do a BH on them and that the required sub frame could not be ordered. Now Im sure if you were as good with a torch and welder as some of these guys are in here it wouldn't be much of a problem ,, Me I aint that good

Cindi the bx tractors dont need a sub frame for a back hoe, it attaches to the frame were the three point hitch arms are. I was told at the dealership that the bx24 and the bx 23 are the same tractor the 24coming from the factory with the back hoe. your bx1860 is the same except it is a few inches shorter and has a smaller engine.
