Wanting a bush grapple for my L2500. Spoke w/ Kubota dealer who tried his best to heist me for ~ $6K w/ all the bells and whistles I don't need. Do I really need a 3rd function gizmo? Not according to a YOUTUBE video I stumbled onto.
Google "YOUTUBE Is a grapple rally worth it"
Watch it and get back to me please.
Also, which Kabota brand (or other) grapple is best for my L2500? Can it be attached to L2500 w/o a "quick connect" gizmo?
Thanks in advance

$6K? Ugh. I would like to see the breakdown on the expenses.

Well, there are many different ways to skin a cat. You can operate the hydraulics off a rear remote if that is all you have like in the video. There are several aftermarket kits as well, that are not really difficult looking to install from what I have seen. I cheated and had the 3rd function installed by the dealer when I bought my tractor.

You will have to change your loader over to a quick attach style though, unless you use something like a bucket grapple that can be installed on your existing bucket.

I'm no expert though, and the others here certainly can advise you on which way to proceed.

Do you have a rear remote? Maybe a bit more information other than just tractor model may help come up with your solution.

Open your wallet for the third function and a grapple...you'll not regret it.

I just picked up an L2501 with the third function installed for an additional $1,200. This seemed like a pretty decent price to me given our local labor shortage and parts scarcity.

I bought a Land Pride 3rd function valve for my L4701 from my Kubota dealer for $750. Installed it myself. Very easy. It had great instructions and minimal tools needed.

I use my grapple more than any other implement
