Looking around at others with 3rd funtion on their loader curl circuit, and the kits for sale online, I thought it would be better to add one too and free up a rear circuit for a tilt, I've had the valve laying around here for a month, so finally took the time to get started today and thought I'd post my progress.
I looked around for a place to mount the valve and thought I was going to follow ToomanyGT's example by placing under the floorboard but was afraid I might catch it on something and the tube routing was going to be a bit more complicated, so decided to mount the valve on the loader torque tube, hopefully I won't rip the lines out later with limb or stumps.
Got the mount fabricated today, heres a few pics, should be able to get it mounted and plumbed in this week.
I'll update with some pictures as I go.
Not sure I'll get the wiring done this week though as I plan on modifying a shift knob and installing a small button in it to activate the valve, for a cheaper solution if it works it will be cool, I just couldn't see paying
$75-$100 for a button this will be $20 if it works so I'll like it much more.
(Don't laugh too hard at my crappy welding)

Looks a little better painted. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1375730341.092605.jpg

I thought I had all the fittings I needed for hydraulic lines, but changed my mind so figured I would go to the local hose repair and supply house and pick up 4 elbows and 2 unions, I know they are always a little higher but figured I'd give him a little business for a few bucks more, but when he said $65.84 for 6-3/8" fittings I had to say NO THANK YOU !
I ordered the same thing with shipping for less than $20.
I wouldn't mind it so much, if there was something different about his fittings but they have CHINA stamped on his too just like the ones I ordered..... (OK RANT END)

I'm right on your heels with my build , now that I have a grapple sitting here.
I'm mounting on the tube also, I had all the fittings to go under the floorboard but after screwing them in that valve sure did grow. Its going to be a real bitch making the shield fit around the fittings.
I'm extending the curl lines where they convert to steel and capping the steel part then I will only have to run 2 hoses down the boom.
I'm using run tees to tap back in to the crossovers and should be able to reuse the stock hoses.

If it works out, I plan to use the tubes that run down the arm to feed the valve then run new lines across the tube to feed the curl cylinders, I think it will work out, just hope it is not a big cluster of lines, I'd like it as clean as possible.
You'll probably get yours done before I will, bandaidmd.

One pitted piece of channel with ears welded on and a couple muffler clamps. I will be fabing up some sort of cover.
Hey Burton did you remember to get the power plug like the one in my pic?

That's a cool mount too!

I got the HIRSCHMANN CONNECTOR thingy of that's what you mean. Glad I did to cover the connections.

Hey Burton, I got "er" done.
I'm going to have to extend my hoses the ones they supplied are a little short. I put the grapple close on the curl side to start with when I have the lines off I'm going to try it the other way. If you just move the lever over into the regent circuit nothing happens , you have to push it all the way over to open the grapple. Thinking that the other way gravity might let the lid close.

Defiantly want to use the right/dump side to close the lid if not you have to snap thru the regen circuit before gravity tries to close it ,also makes it jerkey.

UPDATE, finally got to put some seat time in using the grapple.
It seemed like my grapple wasn't holding onto the "stuff" very tight so I changed my hoses back to close on the curl instead of dump and it works much better. It may have just been a coordination thing with not releasing the button quick enough before getting into the regen section of the valve and releasing some pressure. Its way less critical if the lid drops a inch or so after fully opening than it is not keeping your clamp pressure up.
It also seems more intuitive having it plumbed this way.

Finally got back to mine today, got it all mounted, and plumbed, not as clean as I thought I could have run the lines. The fittings take up more space side by side than I thought they would, but should be fine, I'll wire it up tomorrow hopefully

Yea got all the lines run and put back together, everything works as it did, which is a good sign I didn't screw anything up.. :)
What I thought I was going to do for the switch isn't working out so I still have to get the wiring done, should be able to git-r-done this week
