Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and thank you everyone.

I just recently bought a used 2012 kubota M9540 with 2030 hour. The tractor work as it should and perform very well on lifting and loading work. But there is something keep bothering me that I spend 24k on a 2000 hour tractor. I could of use that money and get something newer with lesser hour since I just need a 70 to 80 hp to lift hay and 2000# stuff. So I don't know if I made a mistake soon to be a lemon buy or not..please enlight me if I should keep or trade for a lesser hour.. it only comes with a 2 spike folk hay only. No other attachment included.

Costometic condition is 9/10 with some fading color..but not by much.

Thank you

Don't know about pollution control systems in 2012, but can guarantee newr tractors will have it.

Thank you. It doesn't have the pollution crap that the new tractors has to deal with. Also my os a ROPS and has hydraulic shuttle and I believe it a 8x8 4wd. Since the shifting gear only as 4 speed.

Sounds like you’re having buyers-remorse. You did fine. Use it and enjoy it.
Think about all the worries you’d have with a newer tractor needing to constantly feel threatened by failure to buy more stuff and more service to keep the warranty you’ll not likely need alive.

Worry worry worry.... keep it up until you’re horribly dissatisfied with a good and useful tractor.

My neighbor bout an M9540 three years ago at a farm auction. Had 3400 hours on it. He paid $17K. He spent 2K to get it fixed up a bit with busted mirrors, plastic, etc. and a couple of other items. He has had no trouble out it since he got it the way he wanted it.

I always teased him, asking when he was going to go back and pay the second half of the payment!

You have a nice tractor. Quit looking for a problem. Think about how much you saved in taxes when compared to a new one!

Thank you so much everyone. Just keep having that feeling of 2000 hour tractor....but I really think I really really like this tractor alot. Can do more than the smaller one. I have a 60 acres of land that need to maintain. I guess you guy are absolutely right, I need to stop worry about problem cause there is no problem with the tractor. Thank you.

I’d think 2000 hours on a machine like that is pretty low hour! No reason with proper maintenance to easily get 6-8000 hours before any major work could be expected. Keep up on the little things and the big issues hopefully won’t be a surprise! And, at 9 years old, the previous owner only used it ~200-250 hours a year. Just enough to say it’s used, not so little as to cause the issues of too little use!
I have a little smaller and newer than you (m7060) that’s overkill for what I do, but there’s no regrets when I’m working and knowing a smaller machine would be slower and worked a lot harder!
