Old man on new website seeking some information.
I've been a green paint owner for over 50 years and now I might make a slight color to orange delight. My John Deere dealer has a old rugged 1979 Kubota B6100 HST for sale. He asking $1000.00 and I mad a offer of $750.00. He thinking real hard...do I keep or sell it. I don't know how many hours it has, but, I would guess it may be at least near or over one thousand or more. I don't really need this B6100, but, I need it to fulfil a void in my gardening tools...equipment.
I own a 1949 Ford 8N that I got from a Ford dealer back in 1956 with 16 hours on it. It has been a "looker" by several thousand Parade goers and maybe more at Tractor shows in the Midwest states. Here is a picture of the 8N
I also own a 1999 JD 345 and a 2012 Z710A Ztrak that does the mowing on the 10 acres. What I need is a sub-compact tractor to use a 30" Rototiller behind it as my old 8hp 2 wheel tiller is in need of repairs. Besides, I'm in my mid 80's and can't handle the tiller any longer. I bought a new Deere 647 tiller for a "song and dance" and it won't and I say. "it won't work behind the 8N."
So, that is the reason I'm paying $750.00 for the Kubota B6100 HST....to connect the 3 point hitch to the Deere 647 tiller.
Now, the big questions... Is the Kubota B6100 worth the $750.00 I hope to pay, and will it work with the Deere 30" tiller? And what are the main problems are the B6100 HST good for in ways on repairing and replacing parts.
I figured there may be some on this website that has or had a B6100 HST now or in the past. Here is the B6100 as it shows by the dealer.
