I've been debating about buying a wider blade for my B2650. Then I started thinking the 60" I currently own will be really nice in the woods, but a wider blade would be nice for moving snow, and a box blade could come in quite handy as well. So....this is what I came up with. Being a tool and die maker by trade I drew up some ideas and a buddy and I fabricated these up(I don't own a welder, so I needed to borrow his).

I used it last night plowing snow and it worked perfectly! The support for the box blade sides bolt onto the blade using the existing holes in the top of the blade. The extensions and the box blade sides slide in and pin in place.

Excellent design & fabrication!

Isn't it nice to be able to channel all that experience & knowledge into something that's going to make life easier/better at home?

It certainly is! I wish I had time to do more stuff like this, but 12 hour days limit the amount of interesting stuff I could come up with.

Good job..

I'm a retired tool maker and built much the same wing and skids for an old blade I had.

Little improvements like that make the job go so much nicer and quicker.
