So I have been looking at a bunch of tractors now for a few years and should have bought one a long time ago!

Anyways... my uncle is offering me this:

2000 Kubota BX1800
880 Hours
Fresh Paint (He took really good care of the tractor)
Loader
54" MMM
Subframe and hydraulic blade

I have put about 4 hours on it as a trial and it is a good size for what I want to do with it.

Asking $7k.

Thoughts?

Normally I would say that is a tad high, but with the blade - that is a fair deal, hell ask him if $6500 will get it, worst he can say is no. At 7K - it will be money well spent and you will love the machine!;)

I'm a tightwad.

Given the extra subframe and blade I think $6k is a steal, but $7k is fair, especially since its family, and you know its history.

With the subframe, its so much easier going to a snowblower if needed. Just need the mid-PTO equipment, and the blower itself.

Just the subframe and blade are probably $2,000 in options now, Pat?

Well I bought it. :)

I gave him what he was asking and didn't want to haggle with him. That's the benefit of buying from friends and family I guess.

I heard from someone a while back that when you do business with friends and family you should NOT expect a better deal because you want them to prosper.

It'll pay for itself if no time. WOO!!

UPDATE:

Well I ended up selling it back to him because he wanted it for his house, bought a newer BX and took it up to his cabin!)

HA!

I'm in the market for a B2301/B2601 or maybe B2650.
