3 Point Hitch Control Lever

Can anyone tell me the proper way to adjust the three point hitch control lever on a B7800? It connects to a rod underneath the seat that has a nut and spring that appear to be very lose. When moving the lever to completely lower the 3 point hitch it sometimes hangs on the frame. I believe this is due to it being able to move to far. Just not sure of the proper adjustment.
