Won't stay in 4WD

I have a B7200D that won't stay in 4WD. Selector lever moves back to 2WD position, I don't hear or feel any thing when this happens. It shifts into 4WD easily but just won't stay.

On that lever there is a catch ball or detent, It might be stuck, try some PB Blaster or some other rust breaker to try and get the ball to free itself. ;)

Well there wasn't anything wrong with the catch ball or indent. It wasn't even getting to the indent. The handle was stopping on the flair of the drive line cover where it attaches to the transmission. I put a slight bend in the handle so it clears the flair and everything works fine.
Thank you for your suggestion it help me know what to look for.
