B7001 Steering Issue

Hey folks,

Working with my B7001 4wd this weekend moving a rock box for a fence I'm putting in. All of a sudden my steering wheel made a kinda thump movement and the wheel would just spin. Couldn't steer the damn thing. I think my steering box is finished. How hard is it to replace and where can I find parts?

According to the chart the Grey B7001 is the same as the US B7100

I sent you a PM with a link to the B7100HST manual, not sure if yous is a HST?
The steering section starts on page 268.

B7001 were not HST.

Most B7100D parts will fit it, but not all, not sure if steering is the same or not.
So whatever parts you buy get them from someone that offers returns.

Pull the steering box apart, if it just broke the ball nut you can get a new one, if other parts broke you'll need to buy the whole box.

...and it’s a bitch to fix. It’s absolutely critical to retain the shims on the gearbox itself for proper spacing. I had the same problem and tried to fix it without much luck so I just had the dealer rebuild it.
