4WD and HST necessary for mowing?

4WD, HST and loader are must haves. And these are just sunk costs, you get the money back on a resale. All make it much easier to resell.

I was new to the whole mini farm life and I use my FEL for more things than I ever imagined. Now, I can't imagine not having one.

I figured with 0% financing, I could buy the tractor I wanted and the difference in cost per month was like $30 for a bare bones vs. what I wanted. No brainer. Figure out what the difference is per month and see what you can afford. It costs more in the long run to not buy what you need and trade in in repurchase for what you do need.
