Engine starts, idles at very low rpm, no throttle response, no error codes, black smoke. Does anyone have answer to this problem? Injection pump and injectors taken to repair shop, tested to be ok, new fuel pump, engine timing test to be correct, everything I can think of but just no response from throttle on column or from foot petal, just no change in engine rpm. All cables are connected and working correctly. Stop solenoid working correctly, glow plug indicator comes on and clicks off after a few seconds. Also to add info, would the idler adapter on left of injector pump be a problem, I see how since the electronic stop run solenoid is working just fine and the shaft in the injector pump slides correctly. Still hoping some one from Kubota would respond with the answer or possible answer.

Here are my guesses based on the very limited supplied info:
1. Linkage not connected.
2. Fuel flow restricted. (This covers 1,103,321 possible root causes :D)
3. Moving wrong lever to control fuel flow/engine speed
4. Highly restricted exhaust

Did you by chance move the mechanical stop lever?
On right side in front of pump, mine is forward towards front of engine.

In order to give you accurate info I need the serial number, as there is 2 different L4240HSTC's

Have you pulled the throttle control plate and inspected it?

Have you pulled the stop plate and inspected it?

Have you pulled the stop solenoid and checked it's operation?

I've been busy wiring a house and haven't worked on tractor. I will get serial # and reply. Every thing else you suggested I've done even replaced springs for governor.

Are you 100% sure when you pulled the pump that when you reassembled it that you engaged the rack of the pump with the governor linkage?

Is there a cover on the side of the block, where the injection pump goes?
If so remove that cover, take pictures with the throttle in various positions and post those photos.
Also post photos of the throttle linkage/cables too.
