B7100 block heater

Good morning all. Looking to put a block heater on a B7100 geared model. Looked at the block and it has press in plugs. Should I knock one out and tap it for 3/4 NPT and install a factory kit? I've seen the magnetic ones but don't believe there's enough block space and I'm not a fan of sticking it to the bottom of the pan. Looked at the lower radiator hose and it doesn't seem to have enough room to cut out a few inches and place one inline. What have others done? Not scared to spend a few bucks, just don't want something falling off or a slipshoddy install. Thx and God Bless.
