I have a G2160 with a 3 cylinder diesal in it. Today I had to jump it to get it started. When I went to shut it off it kept running. I pushed a lever on what looks like a solenoid & it shut off. Is there a fuse for this or do I need to replace the solenoid? Thanx in advance for your time....jb

Im unsure what is going on,jump as in use booster cables?dead battery?
If thats the case, then battery power is the issue here.
No ignition power, blown fuse/fuseable link open circuit or bad ground. A totally dead electrical system should be easy to figure out. Test light, clip on a good ground and follow power to fuse panel and ignition switch.
Im thinkin the shut down solenoid powers for a few seconds to shut engine down, so no battery power would create this condition.

If it needs power to shut off.
Try leaving the jumper cables on and turn the switch off.
Of it works, get a battery.
If not, check fuses.
