I piddled around I google and found 3 references for that carb. One showed it to be discontinued. The other 2, Colemans and Messicks showed them to be $500.00. That price would buy a decent generator. Try calling your dealer and see if they can find a repair kit.

You might be pleasantly surprised by the prices and pieces you can sometimes see on eBay.

Hey there, I'm wondering if you ever found a carb for that ARX6500 generator? I have the same one, and I haven't run it in 7 years, and now the carb is varnished up and I can't get the jets out to clean it. The engine is a GH-400-E Kubota engine, 13 HP. The carb I have has the ID of EG7951 etched on the housing and below that is says V931. I have not been able to find an original part number, but you said it was 12008-44040, so I assume that is correct. I see several on eBay and Amazon that look very similar, but just not quite the same. I'm wondering if any of these are replacement for the original, or if anyone has a new model number that substitutes for the original? Anything would be helpful. Thank you.
