Does it take a special tool to replace the liner in the D750 engine on B7100? Is there anything special involved in it? I've done this in the past on old ford 8N's and such but never on one of these kubota's. I'm thinking about just replacing the cylinder liners instead of getting it bored when i tear the engine back down. It would be much less down time and the cost is about the same vs. the extra machine work and buying 3 new over-sized pistons.

What I know about liners is, they are dry or wet or not at all. :D

Do you know if you have liners? Are they wet or dry?

If they are wet, then a piston and liner can come as a set and you install them faily easy.

If they are dry, they have to be cut out, pressed in and re-bored to size. Here is the link where I did mine. Usually a machine shop will do this process and bore it.

Hope this helps. :)
