I was running my tractor just fine, and turned it off to add more fuel. Once I filled it to about half a tank, I tried to restart it, but it wouldn't start. I made sure the cut off switch was back in place, that I was using the clutch, and that the glow coil was nice and bright before I tried to turn the ignition key. It acts like it wants to start but it doesn't quite catch and turn over.

Does the engine spin and not start or is it a no spin starter issue.

I can see the fan and belt start to spin like it's almost going to catch and stay on, but after it does that for a few seconds, it does off and stops

Should I be letting the glow plug warm up the fuel for longer since I went from a quarter of a tank to half a tank? Maybe hold it in for 20 seconds?

Any chance you added gasoline by mistake?

Whatever glow plug time you were using would not change with added fuel in the tank.

I made sure it was diesel. After I let it cool down, I tried it again, and it worked ... And I let the glow worm go for longer (about 20 seconds) before trying the ignition, and the tractor started.
