I am new to using a rear blade. I have a B2650 with a Cab, front snow blower, and a 72 inch blade. The dealer has used a lot of grease between the arm of the blade and the pivot point. I will get grease all over me just by walking near this blade. Really, is that much grease needed?

It is only the grease inside the moving joint that is doing any good.

The stuff outside the joint can be wiped off.

It contains the dirt, grime and water which made its way into the joint.

You can wipe the excess grease off. It just attracts dirt and defeats the purpose. Dealers tend to wayyyyyyy over grease. They are likely using pneumatic grease guns with 55gal drums of grease and hit each fitting as quickly as they can with no concerns about over-greasing.
