Squeaky cab

I have a brand new Kubota 4060 with cab. It has only one problem. Under way it sounds like someone is trying to hacksaw off the roof of the cab. My old open deck tractor was quieter to operate. I’ve pushed and wiggled everything and used silicon spray on anything that moves. I’ve re-greased all the fitting, etc. Do all cab tractors squeak? At first I thought it was the seat springs but now I don’t know.

Mine never has squeaked. You might want to check the rubber mounts that mount the cab to the chassis. Something is screwy because the cab structure is very rigid as it's the ROPS structure.

Check your 3 point rate of drop shaft, see if it is rubbing as the cab shifts.

Could be but on my units, there is a rubber grommet the shaft passes through.
We are talking about an L series, not an M series. just because they both are orange does not mean they are the same.
I have come across several L series that the shaft was rubbing the cab.

Gee, I said "on my units'. If I recollect properly, my 5030 Grand L cab unit also had a rubber pass through grommet but that was a while ago and my memory is a bit fuzzy. Irregardless, adding one is s simple fix for that squeak point.

I suspect something else is going on there (squeaking cab) anyway. The cab / ROPS structure is a very rigid weldment in the first place, it has to be as the primary roll cage.

I find it amusing when someone has to post on every subject, no matter what the subject. Makes statements that don't apply to the specific subject, guesstimates or opinions. Then comes back and argues with someone who works on the machine in the discussion on a daily basis!

Trying to get post count up, bored, or a pantomath personality?

Oh Flip, I may be in a numbers lead, but look at the duration of time I've been on this forum compared to you. Figure post per day. You win by a big margin.

I once made a 2 hr service call to a M108 to find the right side mirror turned in and rubbing on the exhaust! Likely not the problem on yours but just a reminder that often the "repair" is very simple. ( Kubota wouldn't accept a warranty claim to correct "mirror rubbing on muffler"! LOL)

To be honest I didn't even try! Just chalked it up to education. No, I didn't charge the customer either!
That is the mark of a good mechanic!
I've done quite a few of those over the years. ;)

I tightened all the bolts that attach the fenders to the cab. Several were not as tight as the others. I also sprayed white lithium grease along the fender/cab seam. The dealers tech is coming in two days to look at the seat. It moves around quite a bit and makes quite a bit of noise. I’ll let you know what happens.

The tech was here today. He took apart the flex skirt around the seat to expose multiple horizontal mounted springs and sprayed them with a waxy/oily spray. I took it for a ride over a frozen pasture with not a single squeak. I’m very happy.
Thanks to all for the advice.

The waxy oily spray was probably Fluid Film... It is basically sheep lanolin in a can. It is sprayed as an undercoat to cars to prevent rusting in the rust capital of the US... Northeast New England.
