I made up a couple of tie downs for the rear of my BX, since it may have a couple of trips on my utility trailer in the future. I had my local shop cut and bend the plates 45° for me. I wrote 1/4" on the diagram, but somehow they missed that and made them up in 3/8", so there is no chance they'll ever get bent.
I drilled 1" holes for the eyes and 15mm holes on 70mm centers for using the existing rear holes on the BX frame rails. I replaced the original bolts with 14mm X 45mm - 1.5mm grade 8.8 bolts.
I bead blasted the plates, gave them a coat of self etching primer, and then a couple coats of Kubota Dark Gray.
They look like original equipment!

Those look amazing, good work. Is "Kubota Dark Gray" something you can actually buy? I guess I haven't looked into tractor specific paints.

ROPS grey is available at your dealer.

As an aside, I just attach a clevis shackle to my drawbar and chain down through that. Easy-Peasy.

Any plans on a set for the front of the tractor? Looks like 4 of them in your pictures but didnt see pics of a front install.

Yes, I did make a different set for the front. I put those on a couple of weeks ago. I think I posted pictures in another thread, but I'll post a couple more here.

The extra set are for a friend that has a BX2230 identical to mine, and the serial numbers are only around 100 numbers apart.

Feel free to steal the idea, I didn't patent it.l :D

FYI, the holes in both the front and rear of the frame rails are both on 70mm centers, the front bolts are 10mm, I believe, and the rear ones are 14mm.

Nice job, the rear ones look like they came from the factory. I didn't notice what grade fasteners you used, but don't cheap out on them. They'll be loaded in tensile-shear when on the trailer.

The bolts are 8.8 grade, but at 14mm, over 1/2" you could easily pick up the entire tractor by one of the brackets without breaking them. The original bolts had a 7 on the heads, but being an OEM bolt, I'm not sure if that is the grade or if it means something else..

I could only get 14 mm 8.8 grade in the 1.5 pitch at McMaster-Carr. The only pitch 14mm 10.9 grade is available in is 2 mm pitch.
I always recheck torques after using them for a period of time.
