Ok I take it this is the switch that stops the tractor being started with out your foot on the clutch. At some time in the past it has been disconnected and bypassed  and from what I can work out its because no matter how you adjust the bolt the switch gets pushed slightly and then the bolt slips past it and then jams against it.

Have looked in the parts list but to no avail and I can't find any mention in the wsm. Does anyone know from the picture whether I am missing a part or whether the switch is the right one?

Thanks in advance

Some sort of bracket adjustment may help, failing that i would weld a washer to bolt head to prevent it from jamming. Was the first thing i fixed on my L1501.

Thanks TJ .... I will elongate the hole in the bracket first to allow me to move it over I think...

Can't weld but definitely going to learn too now
