I have a B7100 with a loading shovel mounted.
What is the lifting limit on the bucket please?
I fancy lifting 1 tonne bags of logs with the bucket but dont know if it will lift the full capacity of 2200 lbs.
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

A B7100 lift a tonne, it would one heck of a b7100 to lift half that more like half that.

Is there a model number on the side like LA272 or LA302? If you multiple that number by 2.2 and that will give you how much weight the FEL can lift. I have an La272 and can lift about 600 lbs so 2,000lbs is way out of thw question for your tractor. Your tractor probably weights about 1,500 lbs.

I agree!
I have an LA302 on my B7500 and can just barely lift 700# with my forklift that replaces the bucket and is at least 50# lighter than the bucket.

I think the 7100 lift capacity would be more in the range of 400 - 500lbs.

A M7040 loader is rated for just over 2500#.

I have a B7100 with a B219 FEL and the FEL manual states a 500 pound max lift capacity.

Never heard that before, but 219 X 2.2 = 481.8...... pretty close.

As a rule of thumb with Kubota you multiply the model # by 2.2 which is lbs/kg to give you a crude lifting capacity of the loader.

Ok so where did this rule of thumb come from? It's the first time I've heard of it. What's your source for information of the model number multiplied by 2.2??

Maybe Kubota number their buckets referring to its max capacity in kg?

I agree with other comments, can't expect a tractor to lift more than its own weight.

Thank you for the replies.
I had no idea of the lifting capacity.
If 500lbs seems to be the consensus of opinion the 1/4 ton would seem to be the limit.
The idea of shifting the logs obviously needs a rethink.
Now where is that telehandler on Ebay.:D

Another thing to keep in mind is where Kubota rates the weight capacity at.

Most manufactureres rate the lifting capacity at the pin where the bucket mounts to the loader arms "I would assume kubota does too". So take the rated weight and reduce it as the load progresses out away from the pins. I am sure there is a simple formula to figure this if one looked.

If you go to Kubota.ca there are some very good specs on current loaders and they give the capacity at both pivot and bucket bottom.
