Seems my battery on my B7000 needs replacing. Each time I finish using the tractor I need to take the battery out and put it on the trickle charger till the next time. Put on the multimeter and it reads 12+ Volts, so I guess it's undamaged, but for some reason it can't hold the charge anymore and I'm getting tired of this routine.
Now the existing battery is a Crappy Tire brand, 51R rated at 700 CCA. The guide on this website says I should be looking at getting 850 CCA. However, wherever I go, I can't find anything higher than 500 CCA. I've checked Crappy Tire, Walmart, Interstate, NAPA, and even the Kubota dealership. The latter's batteries are 450 CCA, which they say they sell for their B7500s, which I guess are comparable at 22 HP (vs my 17 HP B7000).
Is it just that I live in the Vancouver area, with our mild weather, that there's a lack of availability of higher CCA batteries? I'm confused and some advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
