Has anyone ever had the rubber head break off from the hydraulic cap? I could understand that one could rip off the little rubber loop from the cap, if they tried, but the odd thing is that it was on the ground and apparently broke off on its own.

I checked the fluid and it was low, for the first time. Which makes me wonder as I did not think the cap pressurized the Hydraulics, but now I am not sure and wonder if it is indeed pressurized?

Thanks just more curious on thoughts.

Thank you and appreciate all of the advice everyone gives on here.

Are you talking about the dust cap?

If so then no, they don't hold or stop any pressure.
If you have a fluid leak then you have a bad quick connect.

Thanks. See notes inline:

>Are you talking about the dust cap?
No, this is the filler cap for the Hydro fluid, and has a rubber U shape tube on it with a hole at the end for the vent (I assume).

Ok, thank you.

Thanks North Idaho Wolfman.

Replaced with official part, and things seem fine.

TSC, Rural King, ASC and any number of ag related stores sell them singly or in quantity and in various colors for cheap.

I run different colors so I can discern what valves are for what use.
