Thank you for this advise and information. We won't really know the problem is until the engine is torn down, I hope the problem is something like the valves, which would be easier to deal with. 30 and 100 PSI I will when I get it back from the shop. I detect a little bit of sarcasm in your reply. What I was really after is how likely was it for the timing belt to slip cogs and if that is a common problem with the RTV. 2015 RTV 500 with 2400 hours won't start.
Dealer says low compression in one cylinder. Suggests timing belt slipped a cog. Just bought this unit and have no history on it. Ran it for a short time and it would not start after that. Dealer changed gas, new filters, spark plugs and the common maintenance things. Not sure that I trust...- Bill Ledford
