Interesting, seems like that would be more in line with the type of noise I'm hearing. I haven't engaged the PTO so I can't say if the noise changes, but I'll give it a try and see what happens.

While I’m new to this tractor, I’ve had experience with other Diesel engines and it doesn’t sound normal. My hunch is that it has something to do with the HST, but that’s just a guess.

That’s a possibility although it seems to me that the noise is coming from lower on the tractor, but I’ll check that out.

I have a new B2601 HST with less than 10 hours on it an have noticed a rattling noise when driving. It’s more pronounced when going in reverse and when under load. I have confirmed as much as I can that it isn’t a loose body panel and the dealership didn’t seem to have any troubleshooting...
