Not sure what Lilfoot is talking about but my Kubota KX71-3 Super (much like your 40) has bucket shims and theyre available in the Kubota parts catalog. The Bushings are also available.

Has anyone shortened the throw on your joystick? I find mine (L3901) to be like shifting a 60's VW bus. Inordinately long. I'm not talking skidsteer short, just not so far as to throw out my shoulder...... Spikeba
