I finally figured out my problem with the help of a local mechanic. There is a lever that actuates something inside of the 3pt lift hydraulics that tells the tractor where the hitch arms are in their travel arc. Anyway this lever was corroded stuck and making the hitch arms do all kind of wacky...

That chuck looks exactly like mine except mine has a collar. I'm now thinking the "C" stands for "Collar"?

"C" instead of "6" . The writing on it is getting pretty faint.

I did see after more looking online, that the collar may be threaded and attached to the chuck. If so, it seems it holds the chuck to the arbor and can assist in releasing the chuck from the taper. But I don't think I'm going to start banging around on it just yet until I get some more advice...

I installed two new sets of couplers for the loader arm lift cylinders. All functions seem to be back to normal after an hour our so of operating the tractor and loader. Thanks to all who replied and especially the person who diagnosed the bad couplers!

I ordered two sets of the standard couplers. I am thinking this may fix the problem. Hydraulic system should be clean, complete fluid swap a year ago along with filters. Once I receive the couplers and swap them, I will report back if that fixed the problem. Thanks to all who replied. Hopefully...

Amazon has the flat-face couplers, although they are more than double the price of the Pioneer - style ones.

Thank you for the flat face suggestion. I think those are the newer-improved style on newer equipment.

The tractor only has one loader block. If the hoses had been switched, I don't think it would work fine for a while then quit working.
