All I want for Christmas this year is a safe launch!

Not sure how many of you have been folowing this but it is about to launch. I started following the build WAY to early - lol. It has been a long wait! I'll be up early on Christmas morning this year for sure. https://www.jwst.nasa.gov/content/webbLaunch/countdown.html

    I bought a whole case.

Not sure if this was a good idea or not now. I bought a whole case of this new mystery oil OmniCron for the Kubota. You add it to your normal oil. It advertises that when my tractor breaks down in the future it might not break as bad. It will still break down, just maybe not as bad. They had...

    Best Hydraulic Quick Disconnects

I am really tired of leaking QC fittings and would like to standardize on all the ones I use. What is a good (current) brand and model of QC fittings that primarily won't leak, second would be ease of use. I plan to replace all of mine. Any recommendations?

    Over 5000 Hours.....

My wife mentioned the other day that I have over 5000 tractor hours behind me now. I hadn't realized it at the time I was doing the 600hr PM on my B2650. I figure that is a lot of hours for a guy that has no need for a tractor and a "day gig" to boot. I bought a New Holland 1720 in 1996 and put...

Why Top and Tilt (T&T) and Power Angle (PA)?

I got a private request to post some pictures of my T&T setup in use. First off, Why Top and Tilt (T&T) and Power Angle? 1. Quality of job. 2. Speed of job. 3. Trailering (no implement clearance issues loading) 4. Obstacle avoidance or handling in tight spaces. 5. Quick Hitch heaven. Any...

How much time do you spend?

Classifying the plastic they are going to burn anyway. Why do they keep up the dishonest charade here, why not just tell people all the time you are spending separating what is going to be burned is a waste of time.

Hydraulic Ripper / Scarifier on Box Blade

Has anyone done this? Having 5 individual tines on mine, adjusting up/down is a pain. Not being able to do it on the fly is a draw back as well. I Have the HD EA model and it looks like it would be easy enough to fab it up using a small piston. Any of you guys tackle this yet?

    PTO Power Rakes

I have been looking at picking up a 60" power rake and was wondering if anyone here has feedback on brands. I am amazed at the cost (looking at how they are built). I would figure they would cost about as much as a tiller, they are more like 3-4 times that. I don't see any reason why.

    Weak Starting

I bought the B2650 new in Nov. 2019. I turns over slow. It starts right up, but turns over slow. I pulled the battery and checked it out (date code was 2 years old) Voltage was at 12.8. I took it to an auto parts store to replace and the guy said lets throw yours on the tester. It tested good...

Weak Points on L534 Loader on B2650

I was unable to find the post about this so I created a new one. If it is offensive or in the wrong area feel free to delete or move it. I had to spread 3 loads of asphalt crush the other day. I had to carry each bucket around a garage on a slight slope and then into a new driveway out back...

    Censorship Really Stinks

Isn't it a shame that we can't discuss the biggest issue in the country right now without it being censored? Pretty pathetic really. You think it is just the MSM pushing their agenda?

    Hydraulic Flow Reducer

My top link is about twice as fast as I would like it to be. Is there such a thing as a flow reducing washer or something of the sort that you can put in-line with the hose to reduce the flow?

    Best QC Hydraulic Fittings

I have a B2650 with the 3rd function and rear remotes. The fittings that came on it are Dixon brand ISO (Pioneer) style. 3 of them are leaking. I can't see any debris or damage to the fittings so I am at a loss as to why they leak. These will be used on 1/4 and 3/8" lines. What is the best...

Best Time To Buy New Tractor

In my experience The last week in November is the best time to buy a new tractor. Why? End of year incentives and discounts. (Manufacturer, dealer, implement makers etc.) Availability - They tend to be in stock and you get a quick delivery. (that same availability adds discounts) All of the...
